View From Ken's Place

Posted by Garth on Monday, May 26, 2008

In an attempt to capture the view from Ken's place as well as play around with panoramic stitching, I took a bunch of pictures and stitched 'em together. The freeware app Autostitch did a pretty decent job, and I'm sure I'll be using it again.

Now let's compare that to the app that came with my camera (and that they want to charge me $24.99 to upgrade to the latest version), ArcSoft Panorama Maker...

Hmm... I wonder which one I'll continue to use.

I don't know... the place in that 2nd picture looks kind of cool.

You need a new pic of what you currently look like!

Ya, the 2nd pic looks like something Escher would've drawn. I actually deinstalled the software but might reinstall it just to get some trippy pics out of it.

And ya, I would take a new pic of what I look like but I need a haircut really really bad, so will likely wait until I get to Phuket and get a 250 baht haircut... which may end up worse than I currently look, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.
